We are WaterStone Church! Jesus loves you! We love you!
Back on February 17, 2008, our church voted overwhelmingly to change our name from "First Baptist Church of Warrior" to "WaterStone Church". While we are proud to be a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, we wanted our name to reflect our church: A place where anybody, from any background, any denomination, any community, and any walk of life would feel welcome and feel loved. After all, Jesus has come to seek and to save the lost, and that's what we are without Him...lost! So, whether you've grown up in a Methodist Church, Catholic Church, or you've never been to Church at all, we want you to come to WaterStone! Come see us and meet the one you've been looking for all your life: God's son, Jesus Christ!
A note from our pastor
Some people may say that a church who recently celebrated its 130th anniversary is probably just another "old" church. Well that may have been the case a while back but it's certainly not the case here now. 130 years can either make a church old and stuffy or it can give it wisdom, strength and foundations to build upon. Whatever "stuffiness" that there may have been here is being rolled away to be replaced by the excitement and power of God. Truly the presence and power of God is at work ... MORE
